The Confederate Flag And The British Flag

download (6)Now let me get this right: Many of the people are so offended by the Confederate flag, that it must be taken down or else? This year of 2015 marks 150 years since the end of the Civil War  . . . . . .  150 years! That is a long time to be offended and it is time for people to let it go.

Mark 11:26, “If you do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.”

In spite of the fact, that the British harassed the American colonists mercilessly, and in spite of the fact of the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812, the USA does not hate the British. Quite frankly, the British are one of America’s best allies. The Americans could have chosen to be eternally bitter against the British, but what good would that do? The Americans could demand, that the British never display the Union Jack (British Flag) in any way connected to the USA, but what good would it do? Instead, America has gotten over the pains of being oppressed by the British; after all, it has been so many years now, that it really does not matter anymore.

One of the main reasons many of them are so offended, is because their leaders keep stirring up more resentment. They simply will not let it die. If laws were passed banning the Confederate flag and the United States flag, that would still not be enough to appease these people, because they are unappeasable. It will never be possible to appease them; as long as, they do not forgive.

I propose that we make an offer to those offended by the Confederate flag. Let the United States government offer to pay for a one way ticket to the motherland of their forefathers. Let the United States government also pay for one month of expenses in said country for the sole purpose of helping them to get settled in. This would help the aggrieved parties to start a new life away from the hated Americans. Of course, they would never be granted reentry into the USA. Whoever accepted this offer could be kindly assisted in freeing themselves from their hated prison: the United States of America. Whoever declined this offer, would be expected to henceforth put away all resentment and clamor, and embrace their American way of life with gladness.
