Trey Pearson has fallen prey to a promiscuous America, that now accepts perversion as normal. Apparently he believes, that King David of Israel and Jonathan the son of King Saul were romantically and sexually attracted to each other. Apparently he uses this thought to justify being homosexual.
Problem with this overreach is; neither King David nor Jonathan were homosexual and the Holy Bible in no way suggests that they were. The love that David and Jonathan had for each other was an unusually strong friendship, that could not be broken even under pressure from Jonathan’s dad King Saul. The book of Samuel in no way supports this unBiblical idea.
Satan is always present trying to pervert and twist the good things of Almighty God, and at those points in time, people must not entertain these ideas from the enemy of men’s souls.
The Holy Bible says in Ephesians 4:27, “Neither give place to the devil.”
One of the main ways, that perversion enters a person’s life is by, giving place to the devil. This word “place” in the text comes from a Greek word meaning “opportunity”. We are to never give Satan the opportunity to question the Word of God. Eve gave opportunity to the devil, by letting him rationalize with her, why eating the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil was really okay, even though Almighty God had forbidden it.
King David gave opportunity to the devil by allowing himself to linger watching a naked Bathsheba bathe. As his sexual passions started to increase while he watched her; he should have turned away his gaze and even sent a messenger to warn her not to bathe in view of the palace. David was not born with adultery in his heart. Permitting his eyes to linger where they did not belong gave birth to lust and lust gave birth to adultery.
Cain gave place to the devil, by dwelling to long on his jealousy of his brother Abel. He continued to think about again and again and again until hatred filled his heart. After hatred entered his heart, he started entertaining thoughts of murder. Cain was not born with hatred in his heart. He should have resisted the thoughts of jealousy and anger, because these things give birth to hatred. Hatred so filled Cain’s heart, that it gave birth to thoughts of murder. Cain rose up and killed Abel.
Child molesters are not born that way. They entertain thoughts of taboo to the point, that it gives rise to unnatural lust, which in turn gives place to the act of molestation.
The same thing is true of incest, beastiality, homosexuality, lesbianism, transsexualism, and all forms of fornication.
The danger of pornography is, that it gives rise to lust. Illicit lust is merely a longing for what is forbidden. Anyone who views naked images of someone other than their spouse is opening themselves up to longing for what is forbidden. Passions rise up in the heart and the person begins to consider ways to satisfy the longing. This is not limited to sexual things.
James 1:14-15, “But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust and enticed. Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin, and sin when it is finished brings forth death.”
The word “conceived” here means “captured or seized”. Once lust captures a person, then it gives birth to sin. If you allow your mind to dwell long enough where it does not belong, then you will find yourself longing for what is taboo, and at that point in time, your heart has been captured by lust. That is the very essence and nature of sin. You MUST never allow your mind to dwell on what the Almighty forbids. There are thousands of other things to think about and you are captain of your mind.
People are not born homosexual. If that were true, then Almighty God is not righteous, because He would be responsible for a person being homosexual and that absolutely is not the case. Almighty God is completely righteous, and we are obligated to remove our thoughts and our hearts from that which is evil. It is our duty.
Did you know, that Christ Himself was faced with these same temptations? The Holy Bible says that He was tempted in all ways like we are. Satan presented Christ with various thoughts to sin and this is known as temptation. Satan tempted Christ by suggesting an evil thought to Christ’s mind and this is how Satan approaches humans. Satan suggests evil thoughts to your mind. Many times it even seems like the temptation is a thought, that we originated. When a thought like that appears in your mind, then you should carefully weigh it against the Holy Bible. If you find it is from Satan, then you must resist it. You must resist it again and again and again if necessary.
James 4:7, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
First Corinthians 10:13, “There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man, but God is faithful, Who will not permit you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to endure it.”
Trey Pearson allowed his mind to dwell on his attraction to men. Satan tempted him again and again and again with the idea of physical intimacy with men. Trey Pearson failed to properly resist these perverse temptations. He resisted for a while, but allowed his mind to continue to think on taboo thoughts. The Almighty offered him an escape, but he preferred to continue to think on physical intimacy with other men. He thought this way long enough, that it gave birth to lust and longing for what the Almighty forbids. His lust and longing for that forbidden thing apparently gave birth to homosexual acts, because his interview suggests the same. Now Trey Pearson has become a trap and a liability for others struggling with these temptations, because he is giving advice to other Christians and the world in general about continuing to serve Christ, while practicing homosexuality (huh?) Trey calls this embrace of homosexality health and wholeness?
It is very sad what has happened to Trey. We all struggle with temptation to varying degrees, but to give in and to teach others to give in is abominable. My fellow Christians, Trey Pearson is deluded by Satan and is not to be listened to. He is perverting the Word of Almighty God and a danger to your spiritual well-being. Repentence to the Savior is his only hope and our only hope.
Proverbs 28:13, “He that covers his sins shall not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy.”
If Trey Pearson confesses and forsakes his sins, then he will have mercy. If he continues to justify and practice homosexuality, then he is in danger of eternal damnation. Every one of us needs to take heed to ourselves to continue to resist sin and fight the good fight of faith. We must not surrender to sin and then teach others why we can’t help ourselves and why others might as well surrender to sin as well. Satan loves for people to surrender to sin.
Christ loves homosexuals and died for all of us sinners, but Christ hates homosexuality and He never changes. We should continue to love Trey Pearson, but we must hate what he is doing and not succumb to his delusions.
