International Law is a man-made hostility to Almighty God, and is therefore 100% illegitimate. The United Nations is nothing more than a modern-day Tower of Babel. Read it for yourself in Genesis chapter 11.
In Genesis chapter eleven, the people united to build a tower to heaven against the wishes of Almighty God. The Almighty took it so personally, that he confused their language, so that they had to leave off building their tower. The United Nations is a very secular organization that spends an excessive amount of time fighting against Israel and trying to bring in a one-world-government.
Because the world is so hostile to the Creator, there is no way that a union of nations will work righteousness. Occasionally you will find a single nation that honors Almighty God, but never all the nations, much less most of the nations. Law is supposed to be righteous and good, but international law is not righteous and good; therefore, it is an oxy-moron to call it international law. Let us label it properly for what it really is. It is hostile-international-decree and it will NOT win in the end.
