Holy Bible: No Work No Eat

Samson grinding in prison at Gaza - William Brassey HoleSecond¬†Thessalonians 3:10, “For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

This is a commandment from Almighty God and it could not have been spoken more clearly. YaHVeH expects men to work for their bread and He promises to supply all the needs of the Christian. The princes of sloth waste billions of dollars doling out money and food to the slothful and a large amount of the federal budget goes to provide entitlements to people who are able to work but do not work. It is no wonder that the United States is close to bankruptcy.

The instructions of Almighty God are very simple: The people who are not willing to work are not allowed to eat from the public table. It is not moral to rob the hardworking man of his labor and give it away to lazy people.

Liberals/progressives are fighting against Almighty God by incentivizing laziness/slothfulness through their give-away programs. They think what they are doing is pleasing to Almighty God, but it is not.

In the age we live in, there are many jobs that can be done from a wheel chair on a computer and with a phone, so there are very few excuses for even the so-called disabled. It is the duty of men to provide for themselves and for their families. There may be a few exceptions, but I reiterate, almost all men are able to work for a living. Men, if you did not know this commandment in Second Thessalonians 2:10, then you know it now, and you need to begin the process of finding a way of getting to work to support yourself and your dependents. The Almighty EXPECTS this of you.

First Timothy 5:8, “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith and is worse than an infidel.”

This passage is strong to the extreme. The word denied means: contradict, disavow, reject, abnegate, refuse. The Almighty is letting us know, that you cannot continue forward with Christ if you do not provide for your own household. The Almighty considers this a top priority for the man. Right at the very first in Genesis chapter 3, YaHVeH gave man the responsibility to provide for his family through toil and labor.

Notice, a man who does not provide for his own is worse than an infidel meaning: he is worse than someone who does not have Christian faith. You will be displeasing to Almighty God if you do not provide the needs of your family. You are not required to give them all their wants, but you must provide for their needs.

  1. Bro. the verse you referred to was II Thes. 3:10, not 2:10, it also was from Paul and not from God; ” For even during our stay with you we laid down the rule.” so this was about one group of believers and one or maybe a few who did not work. A better verse to think about is, I Thess.5:14, ” And we would urge you brothers, to admonish the careless, encourage the fainthearted, support the weak, and to be very patient with them all.”
There are always folks in our society that need help, those who are injured while doing their job, about 10 to 12 percent of the population have mental or physical defects that hinder them from work in the modern and highly technical economy. Jobs are sent overseas and workers are replaced with machines.
Millions of wives are supported by their husbands and millions of young people are supported until they can complete their education and find work in sometimes a tight marketplace. `

    • You are right it is Second Thessalonians 3:10, but you are wrong that it is not the directions of Almighty God, for if you read earlier in the very same passage, (Second Thessalonians 3:6) you will find that Paul commanded them in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and also in verse 12. All scripture is given by inspiration of Almighty God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction and instruction in righteousness. Second Thessalonians is profitable for reproof sir. I am reproving those who are lazy and I am reproving those like you that encourage laziness by voting for rulers that are promoting this ungodliness.

  2. Your comments just tend to call for a reply ( not that you are listening ) but you seem to be saying the the black men working underground in Africa, digging for diamonds, in 140 degree heat are doing just what God would have them do, no criticism at all for the rich owners who usually store the diamonds in London, careful to release only a few at a time to keep the price up. Christ rebuked the wealthy and never had a word of condemnation for the man who sat by the well for 38 years. If I understand you right, you commend the chinese who work their fingers to the bone making gizmo’s, gadgets and what-you-call-it’s and send them to our country and thus cause unemployment for those who have been getting a living wage. Oh well.
