Dylann Roof age 21 allegedly confessed to the killing of 9 black people at a church in South Carolina. Whoever killed these black folks committed cold blooded murder.
Please take a careful look at Numbers 35:33, “So you shall not pollute the land wherein you are, for blood it defiles the land. The land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him (the murderer) that shed it.”
Notice, that when innocent blood is shed, it pollutes the land. Unless the murderer is executed for his crime, the land remains polluted, but if the murderer is executed, then justice is served and a new beginning can commence as it were.
When Cain killed Abel in Genesis chapter 4, Almighty God said to Cain, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries unto me from the ground.”
Consider this my friends: The voice of the blood of these nine precious black souls cries unto Almighty God from the ground. Their blood demands justice. The only thing that will make it right is the execution of the one who sat and plotted and premeditated their murders. It does not matter what the public thinks. It doesn’t matter what the families think. It doesn’t matter what politicians think. It doesn’t matter what the killer thinks. It doesn’t matter what the President thinks. Justice demands the death of the murderer. That and only that will make it right, because this is the way of Almighty God, and His ways are altogether righteous and holy.
Notice the last very important passage in Ecclesiastes, “Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily; therefore, the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.”
The true deterrent to evil is punishing the evildoer swiftly. Of course we should be careful to make sure we do not punish an innocent man; however, the moment it is a known fact of who committed the crime, soon thereafter the sentence should be carried out. I believe a murderer should be given a priest/preacher and 24 hours to make peace with the Creator, and then that person should be executed without delay. Then and only then will men fear to do evil. If it is a known fact that Dylann Root killed those nine valuable black souls, then he should already be executed as a public example, so that men will be afraid to do such things.
Whoever says this is barbarian and inhumane, does not take the Almighty seriously. Whoever disagrees apparently does not believe that man has a fallen nature, that can only be tamed by means prescribed by Almighty God. After 6000 years of trying everything else, mankind has not solved the dilemma of man’s bent toward evil, but the Almighty’s remedy is effective. I myself am a white man, but justice must be color blind.
