Matt Lauer, reporter for NBC News, asked the new CEO of General motors an interesting question. The essence of this question went something like this, “As CEO of General Motors will you also be able to be a good parent?” There was quite a stir from certain women, because a woman is the new CEO for General Motors. Her name is Mary Barra, and she wondered why she as a woman would be asked such a question. In her opinion a man would not be asked the same question. As I have stated on my “About” page for this blog, it is my goal to articulate the Almighty God perspective for the masses. Whatever was Matt Lauer’s motivation for asking this question, it is a legitimate question and I will explain why. Notice this passage in the Book of First Timothy 5:8, “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel”. This passage goes right along with what the Almighty told Adam after he sinned in the Garden of Eden, that he would eat from the sweat of his brow or from hard work. It is a man’s DUTY to provide for his family. The Word also says in Ephesians 5:25, “Husbands love your wives, even as also Christ loved the church, and gave Himself for it”. I will repeat, it is man’s DUTY to provide for his family and to love his wife in the way that Christ loved the church. This is a very serious responsibility that Almighty God assigned to the man, but there is also the DUTY of the woman. Notice what is written in the Word concerning the DUTY of women. In the Book of Titus chapter 2 it says that the old women are to teach the young women to be keepers at home. The Holy Bible does not say that women cannot work outside the home, but this is not their DUTY. This is the man’s DUTY. In First Timothy 5:14 the Holy Bible instructs the young women to marry, bear children and guide the home. I know that this will likely not be received well by the women, but it is still the Almighty God perspective. Men are supposed to provide for their families and women are to be responsible for maintaining the home. Some men are lazy and depend on their wives to support them. This is a shameful phenomena. Many women are career women and their DUTY of keeping the home takes a backseat. This too is shameful. Men and women have different roles assigned to them by the Almighty, but they are of equal importance. Matt Lauer’s question is not a bad question at all. I expect to be attacked and criticized for what I have written here; however, Almighty God’s perspective is the right perspective. If you are a Christian, then you need to give higher attention to the higher priorities and less attention to the lesser priorities. This is the will of the Almighty. So then is Almighty God a male chauvinist? Of course not! His design is right and good. Things have been turned upside down in the United States. A large percentage of the women desire to perform the DUTY of a man instead of the DUTY of a woman and this is a fact.
